- Rinse under tap water after each use. Clean alongside your utensils in warm soapy water by hand preferably (cleaning in the dishwasher may reduce the life span of the straws).
- After longer usage, it is recommended to boil the straws in water with vinegar (approx. 1 vinegar : 20 water) for 10 minutes; Cafés and restaurants may do so once a week.
- Dry the straws in a well-ventilated place and keep them later away from dust in a cloth bag or for daily use in a dry jar.
This will help to keep the straws in good shape for longer and make bamboo straws an efficient and natural alternative compared to other materials.
